Meet one of our pharmacy technicians, Mitzi! Mitzi grew up in Somerset, PA, before attending college at California University of Pennsylvania. She graduated college and started working as a social worker but found that, over time, the type of work she was doing had caused her to burn out. When contemplating a career change, she knew she wanted to continue to help people, so she accepted a pharmacy technician position at Carl’s Drug Store in 2015.
She earned her pharmacy technician certification in 2017 and ended up leaving Carl’s to work at Walgreens in 2019. Fortunately, she returned to Carl’s in 2023. Mitzi says that her favorite part of working at Carl’s is the people she works with, “They are an extension of my family.” When Mitzi is not working, she enjoys taking walks, watching The Big Bang Theory, and spending time with her daughter, Emilee, who also works at the pharmacy.
